About the four distances

The organizers of the Fokus Bank Oslo Marathon are working hard to create a race that you will enjoy – and that we can be proud of. We will ensure that you will get drink during the race, a nice course, and staff who are waiting to help you out. At the finish you will receive a medal, honor and glory!

Marathon 42 195 m

42,195 m: There are many miles ahead, and some of them can feel quite long. You are guaranteed to be tired, and you will probably fight with yourself along the way! However, with training preparation and some planning you will manage it. And imagine the feeling you get when you are passing the finish line and you stretch your arms in the air and know that you really made it: You’ve completed a marathon. You are a winner!

Half Marathon 21 000 m

When you are running the 21 km you will experience Oslo the city’s magnificent lake line. It is guaranteed that you will become both sweaty and tired, but half marathon is easier than a full marathon. However, the distance ensures you that you have something to celebrate when you cross the finish line, because you’re a winner!

10 000 m

10 km suits you who think the marathon distances is just too long and the 3 km is a little too short. With a little training this will be a fantastic race experience in Oslo. When you reach the finish line, you can raise your arms and say that you are a winner!

3000 m

3 km is perfect if you just want to experience and share a great race day with other runners and the audience. Maybe you want to run with high pulse and high speed. Or maybe you’ve just invested in some new running shoes and will have to motivate you to use them. Whatever background, regardless of speed, when you cross the finish line, you know by yourself that you are a winner!
