New 2010! The maximum number of participants on the 3 distances on Sunday are 14 000 and distributed as follows;
3 km will start as a “Breakfast run” on Saturday morning, there are no limits on the number of participants. Participants, who are already registered for one of the distances on Sunday, can run the Breakfast race for only 125 -.

In 2009, the number of registered participants was 11 100 with 60 different nationalities distributed over;
The percentage of women is increasing, on the two shortest distances; there was above 60% women. In the half marathon, the percentage was about 41% and in the marathon about 18%. The average age of participants was 36 years in all distances, except the 3 km, where the average age was 31 years.
In the Children’s race the youngest participant was 1 year and the oldest 10 years, with an average age of 4 years. There were as many boys as girls running to the benefit of Right To Play (RTP). There was also 50% men and 50% women who ran on Grete Waitz Team to the benefit of cancer research.
The oldest contestant in the marathon was 75 years old and the oldest contestant in total was 81 years old and ran 3 km.
From 2004 – 2008 the race has increased 325% and from 2008 to 2009, there was almost a 100% growth. With a growth similar to the past years we expect 14 000 contestants in 2010.
